Realtor Tools
Yesterday Shadash asked about the tools realtors use to help advise their clients. Do agents utilize super-sophisticated analytics, and get additional support from the MLS folks?
The North SD County Association of Realtors runs the HomeDex every month, but I can't share it with you without permission. I have submitted written requests for permission, but they go ignored.
If you're wandering through the internet and happen across this link:

you'll find the data they send us monthly - but I can't give it to you.
We discussed the recent MLS debacle, where Sandicor decided to change over the entire system to a new and untested model, in order to better serve its customers, the realtors.
They include charts now! They have these for each zip, plus county-wide. Here it is - the yellow is the average sales price for SD County:

Thanks. NSDCAR must love you!
They're crazy about me.
They are the same folks that, when I suggested a realtor-rating website, they said, "No way, we'd just get sued."
I can't figure out why they are so paranoid about this super-secret data getting out in the open. Then when they insist on getting permission, the least they can do is respond yes or no.
Instead, no answer - nice, and my dues pay their salaries.
For those wondering, that is a 17.8% decline in the average sales price in eight months.
If it's any consolation, I'm crazy about you.
XOXO

Funny thing that my browser came across that link too. Totally weird.
I'm crazy about you too.
-not so secret admirer
My cat walked across the keyboard and that link came up. It's just one of those things.
I have to say though, it doesn't exactly knock my socks off with insightful analysis. I think we get better on this blog.
fyi, I just asked for a concession.
