On Every Corner
I've called the number four times but they either send you to voive mail or try the old trick that the rep is busy and leave your number and he'll get back to you.
I suspect that these are the same types of lenders that used the same signs to reel in the inexperienced/unknowing buyers, and put them into 100% subprime loans.
I don't know that for a fact, but it's the similar pitch that is too-good-to-be-true. Do you really think they have federal funds available?? Sure, they're just handing out money like candy.
They probably have an FHA loan they'll give you if you qualify, or else they'll try to push through a loan mod. Reputable bankers are the only way to go, don't take a chance on a sign on the side of the road!

Mrs. Dawg is mad at me for "collecting" all these signs. I use the wire for tomato stakes and have yet to figure out how to recycle the boards.
Here's a better number. Just give them a call and tell 'em how much you need:
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
451 7th Street S.W., Washington, DC 20410
Telephone: (202) 708-1112 TTY: (202) 708-1455
I use the boards for painting on the workbench, I like the tomato cage idea, they also work well for string beans. You know how us Californians like to recycle and like Jim said they're free on most corners/ telephone poles. Note- in my city Real Estate signs off property are a no-no and can be removed by the general public as a nusiance (except open house signs during certain hours). Check your local sign ordinances and help clear your neighborhood of these eyesores.
