Drugs? Does the listing agent get to clean that up too? That sucks.

Is that like when they leave a plate of cookies for the open house? Have a bong hit and a line? Dang! I've been out of the market for a long time!

At least we now know what they were smoking when they came up with the asking price.

I think that just made my day.

"Is that like when they leave a plate of cookies for the open house? Have a bong hit and a line? Dang! I've been out of the market for a long time!"

with the softening market, experienced REALTORS® know they would need to up the ante to get the house sold. and if that means getting prospective house hunters high, so be it.

I thought it was the smell of cinnamon that inticed buyers. Gives whole new mean to; "You paid how much? Are you on crack?"

I repeat OC Renters comment. During these tough times make sure to use and experienced REALTOR(R). What would you do without this level of experience on your side?

PS Did you read the UT article today. Former REALTOR selling new homes used to make $188,000 could not afford any down payment and is now losing a home to forclosure.

Another REALTOR that is losing two homes to foreclosure said it is a great time to buy.

This actually looks like an improvement over some of the other homes Jim has posted here...

the thing to ask Jim is this,

we know you are a good realtor, but when was the last time you got us high?

September 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterocrenter

It wasn't that long ago - remember, the last time you were over at my house and we were hitting the tequila pretty hard?

You said it reminded you of a wicked peyote bender you experienced in your youth?

You may not remember, you passed out right after...man, your spouse was ticked!!

OMG that is hilarious.

The San Diego real estate blog scene need an answer to Rob Dawg's "workers in overalls" picture series. Go JtR!

This photo is one of four used in the MLS by the seller. I keep trying to figure his angle - how is this scene a benefit to a buyer?

It's a short sale, so the best guess is that he's trying to turn off buyers? I supposed a few might be intriged, but their interest will more likely be handled with a late night B&E.

Jim,

This is the best post EVER! The Listing agent should be seriously reprimanded for this. You were dinged for displaying your tiny sign in the window they leave drug paraphernalia and trash that could easily be moved in plain sight.

This is the kind of agent giving all other agents a bad name.

Maybe "Kitchen upgraded to cook crystal meth." is a MLS selling point?

September 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCVman

Tsk, tsk. I hate how meth labs just RUIN those granite countertops!

I wonder if MLS listing photos can be used for drug bust convictions?

September 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterEdna_Mode

Silly rabbit, that's for medicinal purposes!

"I wonder if MLS listing photos can be used for drug bust convictions?"

I wonder if the photo alone constitutes probable cause for a search warrant and/or RICO seizure.

I don't think it warrants a warrant... water pipes are perfectly legal. If they had some weed sitting there it's another story.
